Section 1

Motion Ready Is Not a Law Firm

Section 2

Nature of Services

Motion Ready utilizes generative artificial intelligence to prepare draft legal documents based on the instructions, case facts, and materials provided by the ordering attorney. All drafts are delivered to the supervising attorney for independent review and verification prior to filing or use. No draft produced by the Service constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created between Motion Ready and the ordering attorney or the attorney's clients. The ordering attorney retains sole professional responsibility for all legal judgment, strategy, and work product submitted to any court or opposing party.

Work product delivered by Motion Ready is not reviewed or approved by any licensed attorney at Motion Ready prior to delivery. All work product is delivered as a draft requiring the ordering attorney's independent professional review, revision, and judgment before use. Motion Ready makes no representation that any draft is complete, legally sound, or appropriate for any particular matter.

The legal authorities, statutes, and precedents cited in AI-generated drafts reflect the information available to the underlying AI systems and may not reflect changes in law, recent decisions, or current statutory text. The currency of all cited authorities is not warranted. The supervising attorney must independently verify that every cited authority remains good law and that all statutory text is current.

Section 3

Attorney Supervision Required

All work product prepared by Motion Ready must be reviewed, revised as necessary, and approved by a licensed attorney before filing or use. The attorney who orders services from Motion Ready is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate facts, documents, and instructions
  • Supervising the drafting process
  • Reviewing all work product for accuracy, completeness, and legal soundness
  • Making all legal and strategic decisions
  • Verifying all citations and factual assertions
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and ethical obligations
  • Filing all documents with the appropriate court
  • Maintaining the attorney-client relationship with their client

Court-Specific AI Disclosure Requirements. Numerous federal district courts — including courts within the Fifth Circuit — and individual judges have adopted standing orders or local rules requiring attorneys to disclose whether artificial intelligence was used to draft any portion of a filing and to certify that all AI-assisted content has been reviewed for accuracy. State court requirements vary by jurisdiction and judge. It is the attorney's sole responsibility to identify, comply with, and make all disclosures required by the specific court, judge, and jurisdiction before filing any document prepared with the assistance of Motion Ready. Motion Ready does not monitor, track, or advise on court-specific AI disclosure obligations, and compliance with those obligations rests exclusively with the supervising attorney.

Section 4

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of Motion Ready services does not create an attorney-client relationship between Motion Ready (or its employees) and you or your clients. Motion Ready does not represent you or your clients in any legal matter. Your clients remain your clients; we are your drafting support service.

Section 6

Professional Responsibility

You are responsible for compliance with all applicable rules of professional conduct — including the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct (“TDRPC”), particularly Rule 5.03 (Responsibilities Regarding Nonlawyer Assistants) — covering:

  • Competence in the use of AI-assisted drafting tools and understanding their limitations (TDRPC Rule 1.01; see also Texas State Bar AI Guidance)
  • Supervision of non-lawyer assistants and AI-generated work product (TDRPC Rule 5.03)
  • Confidentiality obligations when transmitting client information to third-party vendors (TDRPC Rule 1.05)
  • Communication with clients
  • Meritorious claims and contentions
  • Candor toward the tribunal, including your obligation under TDRPC Rule 3.03 to correct any material inaccuracies in AI-generated content before filing

The Texas State Bar has issued guidance applying existing TDRPC rules to AI-assisted legal practice. Attorneys are responsible for independently reviewing and remaining current with all applicable State Bar guidance, ethics opinions, and rule amendments governing the use of AI tools in legal practice. Motion Ready does not provide ethics advice and makes no representation regarding any attorney's compliance with applicable professional responsibility rules.

Section 7

No Guarantee of Outcome

Motion Ready makes no guarantees regarding the outcome of any motion, case, or legal proceeding. The quality of our drafts does not guarantee success before any court. Success depends on many factors beyond our control, including the underlying facts, applicable law, judicial discretion, and the actions of opposing parties.

Section 8

Limitation of Liability

Motion Ready's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific order giving rise to any claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages. We are not liable for any malpractice claims arising from your use of our work product. You acknowledge that you, as the supervising attorney, bear professional responsibility for all work filed with the court.

Section 9

Independent Verification Required

You must independently verify all facts, citations, and legal arguments in any work product we provide. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, including: citations to cases, statutes, or secondary sources that do not exist; misstatements of holdings, reasoning, or procedural posture; references to authorities that have been overruled, distinguished, superseded, or abrogated; incorrect quotations from judicial opinions or statutory text; and erroneous descriptions of legal standards, elements, or burdens of proof. You are responsible for independently verifying every citation, quotation, and legal proposition before filing or relying on any work product. The existence of our citation verification pipeline reduces but does not eliminate these risks, and does not substitute for the supervising attorney's independent review.

You further acknowledge that AI systems may reproduce information that was accurate as of their training data but has since been superseded by new decisions, statutory amendments, or regulatory changes. The supervising attorney bears sole responsibility for ensuring that all work product reflects current law.

Section 10

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or placing an order with Motion Ready, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Disclaimer, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.
